IDCMP Class
Chrysalis Recovery offers the state-required 20-hour IDCMP education class/program in New Hampshire (He-A 508.02(b)), along with the full range of IDCMP services including evaluations and aftercare.
All classes are conducted over Zoom. We offer a hybrid in-person and some on-Zoom class quarterly in our Concord office. The cost of the class is $400 and payment is due at the time of booking. If you have previously submitted documentation for hardship and it was approved, the cost of the class is $200. Hardship must be approved prior to booking.
The 20-hour class is delivered using two evidence-based, research-based curricula developed by outside agencies: the Prime for Life (PRI) program and the Change Companies Responsible Driving curriculum.
Classes must be booked at least 2 weeks in advance to have your workbook mailed to you; see the current class dates and how to register. If you register after this timeframe, workbooks can be picked up at our Concord office during regular office hours (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM).
New to Chrysalis Recovery?

Classes run for two consecutive weeks.

What to expect in class
- Participants must be online, logged in and present at least 10 minutes before the start time each day, and back on time after breaks. If you are late you will not be admitted to the online class (He-A 508.07(d)).
- Two devices are strongly suggested, because a smartphone can overheat during video. A laptop or desktop computer with audio, video and a microphone is required.
- The class must be taken from a quiet, private space without interruption. You may not be in a moving vehicle during any part of the class. If a vehicle is the only private space available it must be parked and no one else may be in it.
- Video must remain on at all times except during breaks, with enough lighting for the instructor to see you are participating.
- Attention is tracked through the platform, to confirm participation, as it would be in a physical classroom.
- Cameras must be off if you step away to the bathroom, and phones and computers must not be taken into the bathroom.
- Phones must be on silent. Texting, email, social media and games are not permitted during class, and may be used during breaks.
- Hats, hoods and bandanas are allowed as long as the face and eyes remain visible. Sunglasses are not allowed. Wear respectful clothing with no drug or alcohol logos.
- Clients must attend all sessions alcohol and drug free. Anyone suspected of being under the influence will be asked to leave, will forfeit their payment, and will be required to take the class again.
- Do not take photos, videos or recordings during class. Everyone in the class is expected to keep what they see and hear confidential.
- Foul or disrespectful language, spoken or written in chats, is not permitted.
- Excused absences are granted only for an emergency beyond the client's control, after notifying the instructor: a death in the immediate family, a medical emergency affecting the client, or a medical emergency in the immediate family. An excused absence does not require re-paying, but the client must return to complete the program in its entirety (He-A 508.07(c)).
- If you are late to any online session, miss a component, or are away from the screen for an extended period, you will be asked to leave and will be required to retake the entire program at full price (He-A 508.07(b)).
- If you become ill during class, tell the instructor. If you need to leave for a medical condition documented by a health care provider, you will not be charged again to take the class over.
The 20-hour class can be completed online by Zoom, and in-person hybrid options are offered quarterly.
