A local guide to New Hampshire IDCMP
IDCMP and DWI Counseling in Nashua, NH
For most people in Nashua, telehealth is the practical way to begin New Hampshire's IDCMP. This page explains how remote sessions work, when an in-person or scheduled group component may still be needed, and how Massachusetts proximity can affect the conversation at intake.
The choice is yours
Your DWI charge does not choose your provider
New Hampshire's IDCMP is not tied to the city where the offense happened. You choose your own approved IDCMP provider, and the court order names the program rather than a specific agency. Someone charged in Nashua can work with a Concord-based provider, and someone charged in Manchester can choose Chrysalis as well.
Chrysalis offers in-person and telehealth sessions. Our staff are licensed in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Vermont, and Maine, so clients can be seen across state lines by telehealth where appropriate. Chrysalis has provided counseling since 2009 and has been an approved IDCMP and aftercare provider since February 2013.
A useful local starting point
Start with telehealth from Nashua
Nashua is in Hillsborough County's southern district, close to the Massachusetts line. The Concord office is about a 45–55 minute drive from Nashua, before accounting for traffic or the rest of your day. For many Nashua clients, a secure telehealth appointment avoids making that drive for every counseling or case-management contact.
Telehealth IDCMP starts with the same practical work as an in-person intake: submitting the requested documents, reviewing the program requirements, completing the substance use evaluation, and building a service plan. Counseling, case management, monthly check-ins, and other appropriate appointments can then be scheduled remotely. Any required component that must happen in person or in a scheduled group should be confirmed with the intake team before you make assumptions about format.
Nashua's location also means that people may live in New Hampshire and work in Massachusetts, work in New Hampshire and live in Massachusetts, or have an offense in Massachusetts. Chrysalis staff are licensed in both states and can see clients across state lines by telehealth where appropriate.

If your matter involves Massachusetts
- Massachusetts clients are generally enrolled in a 24D or 24Q program depending on the offense; confirm which requirements apply to your situation.
- At intake, you sign a release of information so the required communication can happen with the relevant Massachusetts contacts.
- Chrysalis sends monthly reports, and the client does not have to enroll in a Massachusetts state program for this arrangement.
- Because requirements differ, bring your own paperwork and confirm the exact reporting and completion requirements at intake.
