Mental Health & Substance Use Counseling in New Hampshire

Chrysalis Recovery Center offers outpatient mental health and substance use counseling for children, teens, adults, and families in Concord, New Hampshire, and by telehealth across New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Vermont, and Maine. We support people navigating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, severe mental illness, trauma and PTSD, neurodivergence, alcohol or drug use, and co-occurring concerns, as well as burnout, stress, anger, boundaries, and major life changes. Our clients include veterans, first responders, helping professionals, people in DWI aftercare, and people involved with courts, DCYF, drug court, probation, or parole. If work leaves you exhausted or makes it hard to switch off, or your schedule involves frequent travel, moves, or unpredictability, we can explore how work and life pressures connect with the coping skills you use and what support may fit your needs.

Grounded support

Real change, one step at a time

We have all been through challenges as unique as we are. Drawing on our own experience navigating life’s challenges, we can help you navigate yours, one step at a time.

Our counselors meet each person with respect and a nonjudgmental approach. You can talk through what is happening, consider what you want to change, and identify practical next steps together.

Support for what you’re facing

Counseling for mental health, substance use, and life challenges

Mental health and emotional well-being

We welcome people seeking support with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, severe mental illness, trauma and PTSD, neurodivergence, stress, anger, boundaries, and life transitions. Your counselor will work with you to understand your priorities and discuss what support may fit.

Alcohol, drugs, and co-occurring concerns

Counseling is available for people thinking about or changing their alcohol or drug use, continuing recovery, or navigating mental health and substance use concerns together. We also provide DWI aftercare support and counseling connected with recovery goals.

Work, schedules, and coping

Support that makes room for real life

Some people finish the workday exhausted and still find it hard to switch off at home. Others balance burnout, stress, boundaries, frequent moves, work travel, or schedules that change without warning. These experiences can affect sleep, relationships, mood, and the ways we cope.

In counseling, we can explore the connection between your work environment, the pressures you carry, and the coping skills you use. We’ll start with what matters to you and work toward practical next steps that fit your circumstances.

Care across systems and life experiences

Counseling for individuals, families, and people referred to care

We work with people of all ages and backgrounds, including veterans, first responders, helping professionals, and employees in safety-sensitive roles. We also support people involved with or referred through courts, DCYF, drug court, probation, or parole. When care is connected to a requirement, we can discuss the referral, what information is needed, and how counseling fits alongside other steps. Our goal is to offer respectful support while recognizing the person beyond the system or referral.
